I have chosen to do my moodboard on all things related to horror/thrillers. I showed my moodboard to my target audience before playing my first draft of the trailer to give them an idea of what they should be looking out for. I have included the main colours, films and weapons used in the horror/thriller genre.
My moodboard is also good inspiration for when I start to make my movie poster, this is because all the film posters on the moodboard are of the same genres. From the posters on my moodboard I can see that the victim or the killer is always shown as the focus of the moodboard. In my moodboard I have also portrayed fear through the use of hands trying to escape and a girl looking shocked and scared. I have included the childs doll toy on the moodboard because it represents the idea of looking at objects in a different light, whilst dolls are an object of fun and laughter to young children to a grown teenager/adult/elderly person they can also be seen as an object that should be feared. This is similar to how in my trailer, the woods would be an area of fun, tree climbing and laughter to young children but to someone the age of my target audience it is seen as an area of danger and threats.
I have included the colours blood red, black and grey on my moodboard because these are the colours most closely linked to the horror/thriller genre. Throughout my trailer you will see a lot of darker colours and dark lighting to give an eerie effect and let the audience be aware of the fact something is not right.
I have included the axe weapon in my trailer, but only very briefly so I do not give too much of the story line away.
