You can see straight away the first change I made, this was to the order of the credits. After a feedback suggestion that I should place the green band and production logos after one another instead of close together I moved them to all be placed at the beginning of the trailer. This is also a typical convention of most genre movie trailers - including horror/thriller. I then proceeded onto cutting down the scene from 0:05 to 0:09 as I received feedback stating that the camera work ended to shaky.
The walking scenes from 0:18 to 0:22 were also cut down in length as they seemed too long, the black and white flashforward scenes were also removed as many people didn't understand why they was there. I removed them as to reduce confusion for my audience which could lead to them being put off seeing the film. The Axe weapon scene at 0:26 was said to be too dark to be able to recognise that it was an axe being sharpened so I lightened the scene making it clearer for the audience. The lighting effect on 0:29 has been used to connote the supernatural side of the film, this is also portrayed through the shot of a character disappearing at the beginning. 0:30 shows that the producers behind this film were also behind creating well known horror film 'The Ring' this would automatically draw attention to fans of these directors/producers of fans of The Ring. After this a few new scenes have been added as to make the storyline of the trailer clearer and in order. The hut sccene at 0:37 has also been cut shorter as to save time on showing the floor focusing the shot more on the actual hut. This gives it a significance connoting its importance in the film. This is also connoted through the use of a low camera angle. The light shining through the trees shows the light and normality of the 'normal, outside' world compared to the darkness inside the woodlands and surrounding the hut. 0:39 and 0:40 shows two reviews of the movie giving the audience an idea of how good the film is and whether or not it is worth seeing. They are both reviews by credited reviewers. Both reviews have been written in white font on a black background making it stand out. At the end of the review is the name of the reviewers company, this font has a red tint to it at the bottom to fit in with the horror/thriller dangerous theme. 0:44 to 0:46 have been included again to make more of a storyline. The music then increases in pace as well as the scenes. This is called a fast action sequence and connotes action and thrill which will encourage the audience to see the film.
I have also generally reduced the time length of the trailer as my research shows teaser trailers tend to be around 1 minute whilst my last draft was almost 1:30.
