The first section of my storyboard shows the beginning of the trailer. I have decided to start my trailer off with an establishing shot as I found from my research that this was a convention that most thriller/horror trailers used. I want my second scene to fade in and set the scene of the trailer but showing all of the characters involved except for the killer. In this scene I also plan to have the mobile phone sound effect to alert the audience that someone has received a message. The third scene shows the Father to be reading the text and showing the emotion of shock or worry. This implies that something about the text was unusual. The next scene shows a close up of the eyes quickly to again express the emotion in the characters face. A black screen will then quickly flash up to show a different setting and the start of a darker eeriness. I plan to film the next scene in daylight to show the normality of the scene as it only shows the girl leaving her house; however as the scenes go on I plan for them to get slightly darker creating more of an atmosphere. Scene number 8 shows the first shot of the 'psycopath'. The character will be stood watching the victim as she enters the woods and will have a costume of fully black clothing to blend in with the darkness. The character will have the hood placed up and draped over their face so that the audience doesn't already know who he/she is. The scene will be set in the woods with dark lighting. Scene number 9 involves the father or mother recieving a text message which is threataning making the audience correctly assume that the messages are coming from the hooded figure they saw in the woods allowing them to understand the storyline more. A series of close ups will be used for dramatic effect to show the text message on the phone. I have not yet decided the what the message will say exactly but I will include this in my script when I upload it. In scene 10 the tone suddenly changes to fast paced and scary. A dolly shot/hand held shot is used to show the trailer from the victims POV. Sound effects of heavy breathing and footsteps will be included in this scene. Scenes 10-12 show the more action side to the trailer; these scenes will be the most fast paced. Scene number 11 shows the victim inside the 'psycopaths' hut in the woods - this is the first time the audience are introduced to this location. This scene will be set in evening lighting so it is dark enough in the woods for the scene but still clear enough to be able to see what is going on. There will be a zoom into the hut and then a sudden flash of light showing the eyes. The next scene shows a sruggle between the victim and the psycopath. I plan for this to be in the woods in a dark setting so you can see the outline of the two but not giving too much away - this would make the audience want to find out if the victim survived the struggle.
